Pirates

A couple days ago I went to see the movie "Captian Phillips".  After seeing this movie it totally changed my opinion on pirates.  In the past I thought of pirates as Johnny Depp looking characters.  I pictured them as being on wooden ships looking for gold treasure with big beards and eye patches.  After realizing that modern pirates are nothing but thugs who have assault riffles and thieve from innocent people, I feel like they should be called "Ocean Thugs" or something like that.  The term "Pirate" gives these thugs attention from all over our nation and thats just what they want.  If an abduction of two people occurs in South Carolina its lucky to make the city news but if "Pirates" kid nap people it's a nation ordeal.
I hope big cargo ships and other traveling boats with innocent americans will increase security onboard so these "Thugs" will stop preying on innocent people and getting tons of attention.

Government Shutdown

So our government had a "Government Shutdown" which you might think we stopped spending money but in fact the government ended up spending tons money and time to deal with the debt issue.  The victims of this is our country as a whole and the wrongdoer is the house and senate.  They refused to work together and it's hurting our economy and we as America are going more and more into a debt. The "Debt Ceiling" is set and then raised all the time when we get close to it.  The government needs to take a stand and really stand by the debt ceiling and cut down government spending instead of bickering with one another and spending more and more money.  The sad thing is, that the people elected and who are spending more than we take in are not going to suffer.  Its our nations future and future people who will suffer if this issue is not fixed.  The debt is 17,000,000,000,000 and growing every single day.  It's time for the "Smart" political figures we elected to make a change in our country.

Biker Brawl

When most people think of biker gangs they think of Hells angels, mongols, pegans, and of course the outlaws.  These biker gangs ore accused of crimes of violence like beating people up, theft, and various other crimes.  These gangs first appeared in the 1940's when a brawl broke out around the american motorcycle association.  The pissed off bikers were known as "outlaws" and now these outlaws continue to grow.
However an incident broke out in New York with a man in a Range Rover and a group of bikers.  Many assume the bikers are a "gang" but are actual bikers who just like to block the street off to go fast and do tricks.  This was not going to fly with the driver of the Range Rover when he supposedly paralyzed one of the bikers by running him over when the intersection was being blocked.  The bikers followed him for awhile until he hit traffic and all hell broke loose.  The bikers smashed his windows and ripped him out of the car to beat him up viciously.
The question is "Is it the drivers fault or did the bikers do wrong here?".  I would say that it is both people at fault.  The driver did wrong by loosing his patience and hitting a biker and the bikers did wrong from the start.  However I think that punishment ended when the man got beat up which made both sides here even.  Bikers like these should not have the power to run the streets when they please and there needs to be more police protection in the streets of New York.  I think incidents like this will always occur.  One person thinks they have power over another which ultimately leads to a fight.  Prays go out to the Biker paralyzed and the man beat up.

Golden Age of Television

Many would say the golden age of television was during the 1950's and 60's or during the time of walt disney's first movies and the wizard of oz.  However I beg to differ.  The golden age of television is right now as we speak.  More people than you could count in a life time are watching shows in their living room, on their iPad, through their xbox, and on giant flat screen TVs across the U.S.  Every person I talk to has a different favorite T.V. show that they watch consistently like their life depended on it.  I myself have just gotten addicted to "Game of Thrones" on HBO and can't seem to do anything more productive after a long hard day.  Almost every single person I have every gotten to know has a T.V. and a favorite T.V. show which draws the conclusion that 1) If you buy a T.V. then 2) you are going to have a "Favorite" T.V. show or series.  Even college kids that I know will find a way to watch a show.  If you don't have a T.V. then you use an iPad, If you don't have an Ipad then you use your computer.  People more and more find new and favorite T.V. shows and use precious time watching them as if they were a priority.  So I believe this is the golden age of television!

Why are cats cute?

Why are cats cute? Well in my opinion cat's are everything but cute.  There gross liter-box stinks up a whole room, they shed hair all over the house, they cause trouble with visitors and visiting animals.  There gross. But yet when I ask friends if they like cats they say no, but still for some reason have a cat in their own house.  Many people like cats because they are really curious and dumb but also because people like to have company in their household.  Cat's are loved because they are easier to deal with than other animals. They don't have to be let out, they don't have to be fed a certain amount of food and they don't have to be cleaned.  They keep people entertained with curiosity such as laser lights and mirrors and are very funny to be around.  They are considered cute because they are good looking, clean, small, and soft to pet.  In my opinion this is a misunderstanding and if you are debating to get a cat DONT, unless you are looking for the next big hit on youtube.
