Golden Age of Television
Many would say the golden age of television was during the 1950's and 60's or during the time of walt disney's first movies and the wizard of oz. However I beg to differ. The golden age of television is right now as we speak. More people than you could count in a life time are watching shows in their living room, on their iPad, through their xbox, and on giant flat screen TVs across the U.S. Every person I talk to has a different favorite T.V. show that they watch consistently like their life depended on it. I myself have just gotten addicted to "Game of Thrones" on HBO and can't seem to do anything more productive after a long hard day. Almost every single person I have every gotten to know has a T.V. and a favorite T.V. show which draws the conclusion that 1) If you buy a T.V. then 2) you are going to have a "Favorite" T.V. show or series. Even college kids that I know will find a way to watch a show. If you don't have a T.V. then you use an iPad, If you don't have an Ipad then you use your computer. People more and more find new and favorite T.V. shows and use precious time watching them as if they were a priority. So I believe this is the golden age of television!

Of course, the article doesn't argue that this is the first golden age, but rather the third. Why do you think this is the case? Is it just that people are more addicted? This could simply be due to technology and the ease of viewing. But it seems to go beyond that in some way according to many. How so? What makes it so good? There have always been good shows. What is different about these?
